The NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs field is set. Sixteen drivers have qualified for postseason racing, which consists of eliminations after the Round of 16 (Darlington, Richmond, Bristol), the Round of 12 (Las Vegas, Talladega, Charlotte) and the Round of 8 (Texas, Kansas, Martinsville). Four drivers will compete for the title at the Phoenix Raceway on Nov. 7.
The playoffs started two weeks ago at Darlington with Denny Hamlin taking the checkered flag and automatically advancing to the round of 12. Martin Truex Jr. punched his ticket to the next round with a win last week at Richmond. Kyle Larson will also advance on the strength of his performance in the first two playoff races.
Four drivers will be eliminated on Saturday night at the Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee. The Bass Pro Shops Night Race takes place on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET (4:30 p.m. PT) and will be broadcast on NBCSN. Here’s how you can watch the race without cable.
